1st and 2nd Grade Teacher Mrs. Jessica Welke

This is Mrs. Jessica Welke's third year at Divine Peace Lutheran School. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Martin Lutheran College and has a minor in Communication Arts and Literature.

She excelled at actively involving students in many different hands-on activities that were motivational and interesting. She was very flexible, especially in adapting her instruction to best meet the needs of her students.
— Student Teaching Supervisor
Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old he will not depart from it” was the theme for my portfolio. It’s a special verse for me when I think of teaching Jesus’ little lambs.
— Mrs. Jessica Welke

3rd and 4th Grade Teacher Miss Lauren Donovan

This is Ms. Lauren Donovan's first year at Divine Peace Lutheran School and she could not be more excited to begin her teaching to the little children of God's kingdom! She has received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Martin Luther College and has a minor in Coaching.

"Colossians 2:6-7 Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,  having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude." I believe that the most important focus of teaching is creating this foundation in Christ within the classroom and the students as I encourage them to grow in their faith and share it with others."

5th-8th Grade Teacher, Ms. Janelle Glodowski

Hello!  I am excited to be a part of the Divine Peace family!  I am currently in my twentieth year of the teaching ministry, and consider it a true blessing to be able to serve God's people!

Education has been and continues to be an important part of my life.  Growing up, I attended a small (2-room) Lutheran grade school in western Wisconsin.  The teachers there inspired and encouraged my love for learning.  This love for learning continued as I spent my high school years at Luther Preparatory School, which serves the primary purpose of preparing students for the public ministry.  The natural progression for me was to earn a bachelor's degree in education in 1998 from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota.  In 2004, after completing the necessary work, I earned a professional educator's license in Wisconsin.  I continue to maintain that state license in several ways:  first, by earning a master of arts degree in education from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (2006);  second, by continuing to earn credits and by attending professional development workshops and seminars;  lastly, by beginning work toward a reading teacher/reading specialist license through Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (2016).

God's hand is certainly evident in all parts of my life, and I am thankful for the blessings He has extended to me through my family and friends, my church family, the interactions with students and congregational members served, as well as the many pastors and teaching professionals with whom I have served.  This group keeps expanding, as the Lord has allowed me the privilege of serving in four congregations prior to Divine Peace: St.John, Two Rivers, WI; Loving Shepherd, Milwaukee, WI; Mt. Olive, Las Vegas, NV; Bethlehem, Menomonee Falls/Germantown, WI.

On a personal note, I love spending time with my family (my parents-retired dairy farmers and my siblings-(4)of whom all are teachers), traveling, meeting new people and visiting with friends, listening to and playing music, cooking, and reading.
